Artist Statement

Visual Arts has been a series of ebb & flows throughout my life. During 1995, the strongest flow washed over me and has sustained to this day. Continued improvement in style and technique during those following years culminated with a first Art exhibit in 2008. The seeking of a location in 2013 for a solo exhibit propelled me into social media with postings each Monday evening of a year-long art/writing project: 'The Journey to Ukazoo'.

Continuing this wed of art projects to the social media presence produced two more long running projects, adding audience participation to the mix: 'The House That Jack Built' & '12 + 12, 12 x 12's'.

With the 12 + 12 venture concluding in November 2018, consideration of the next task took me to consider entering the world of publishing. Over the next year, relying on the accumulated tools of art, writing, social media, and audience involvement, I launched a successful Kickstarter Crowdfunding campaign to self-publish a book built around the 2013/14 "The Journey to Ukazoo" on-line/art exhibit project. It was printed in October 2019. I now continue to work on paintings as a next art project is being researched.
